Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. This website is not a consumer reporting agency as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) defines the term. Neither this site nor any third-party tool linked from it may be used to decide credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening, or for any other purpose the FCRA covers. Background checks for those purposes belong with an FCRA-compliant screening provider.
Privately Operated Reference Site
This site is privately operated. We are not a court, a sheriff's office, or any government agency, and no government office endorses or sponsors us. We do not issue warrants, serve warrants, or keep an official warrant system. We point readers to the offices that do: the Fourth Judicial District court that issues and holds the warrant, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Warrant Office that confirms and serves it, and the limited public case records available through MCRO.
Accuracy of Information
Courts and sheriff's offices change phone numbers, hours, addresses, fees, and procedures with little notice, and warrant systems update through the day. We work to keep our pages current, and we cannot promise that every detail is correct at this moment. Before you visit a counter or send a payment, call the office directly to confirm.
Warrant Status Changes - Verify Before You Rely
A warrant is a living record. Warrants are issued, served, recalled, quashed, and sometimes sealed, and the status can change from one day to the next. A search that comes back empty is not proof that no warrant exists, because a warrant may not be entered yet, may sit with another court, or may not appear on a public page at all. A listing you saw last week may not match the record today. Before you act on a warrant or on its absence, confirm it with the court that issued it or the Sheriff's Warrant Office.
- Treat every result you find as a starting point rather than a final answer.
- Only the issuing court or the Sheriff's Warrant Office can confirm whether a warrant is open or has been recalled, served, or sealed.
Verify With the Official Source
Nothing on this site is an official record. If a decision depends on a warrant's status, its charge, its bail amount, or whether it has been cleared, get the answer from the office that holds the record. The Fourth Judicial District holds the court file, and the Sheriff's Warrant Office holds the operational status. Minnesota law adds a further limit: under Minn. Stat. § 13.82, a warrant index can stay confidential until the defendant is in custody, served, or in court.
Not Legal Advice
Nothing on this site is legal advice. We explain how warrants generally work in Hennepin County and point to resources, and a website cannot replace a licensed Minnesota attorney, especially for an open warrant, a turn-in, a bail decision, or how a warrant affects you.
Third-Party Search Tools
Some pages here include search boxes run by outside companies. We do not control what those tools return, how they price their services, or how they handle the data you submit. Their results can be incomplete, out of date, or matched to the wrong person or the wrong case, and the same FCRA limits described above apply to them.
Outbound Links
We link to Minnesota court pages, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, state statutes, and other resources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of an outside site.
No Records on This Site
This site hosts no warrants, warrant lists, case files, or court records. We point to the offices that hold them, including the court records available under the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Minn. Stat. ch. 13, and the case interface at MCRO. To confirm an actual warrant, check with the issuing court or the Sheriff's Warrant Office.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you tell me whether there is a warrant for me? No. We do not host or maintain a warrant system. The official answer comes from the Hennepin County District Court or the Sheriff's Warrant Office. You can start from a warrant search or by contacting the Sheriff.
Does a clear result mean I have no warrant? No. A clear result is not proof that no warrant exists. Warrants are added, served, recalled, and sealed, and some never appear on a public page. Confirm your status with the court or the Sheriff.
Who can clear or recall a warrant? Only the court that issued the warrant can recall or clear it. Talk to an attorney and the court handling the case.
